In Preston we currently have two employed Optometrists who have developed both their commercial and leadership skills under the Pathway Program. Pathway has further enhanced the engagement and motivation of two fantastic team members. Jodie and Gemma’s development has been pivotal in the successes of Team Preston.

Sean Buckley, Ophthalmic Director, Preston

I was initially more than a little sceptical about the benefits of Pathway to the store as team development has always been a focus for us,however the effect that it had on even my most enthusiastic and committed senior team took me pleasantly by surprise. The biggest advantages were that it filled in the little gaps in knowledge that we didn’t even realise existed and the next level motivation and confidence they found from being with peers in a professionally structured, external educational programme. On returning to store after the very first meeting there was an instant, next-level enthusiasm to want to make a difference to the top and bottom line. My fears about ‘training them to leave’ were soon calmed by them turning into the best adverts for succession planning you could wish for and I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Simon Dunn, Retail Director, Nottingham – Wheelergate

Pathway gives potential partners the chance to work with an experienced partner to learn the role they play within Specsavers. Both the good and bad and ways to become the best opticians in the world. Working closely with existing partners allows both parties to grow and become stronger.
